What is the truth….?

Filed under: Uncategorized — smcauley @ 11:56 am

What is truth…Truth to me is something right, something that happened or that is happening that’s not a lie. Truth is something that cannot be denied in anyway, it can only be lied about. Lieing about truth is good and bad. Lieing about something big to hurt someone is lieing about the truth in a bad way. For example if some tells your friend that they like you and your friend goes and tells you that, that person doesn’t like you. They pretty much try to lie about the truth in a bad way to hurt you. Lieing about the truth can also be good not to hurt someone. For example when some tells you something other than the truth to make the truth seem better when it is really worse. They do that so the fake truth doesn’t hurt you. For me when the truth comes out most of the time it hurts real bad. The truth is hard to face, its life, and life is something you must deal with, life is something you can’t lie about. One thing to know for truth is, is that it is hard to deal with and it gets even harder to deal with if you try to leave it behind. The truth always catches up and when it does there’s always a consequence face.

When i started learning the truth it was when my got cancer and doctor called when they got the tests and my mom had to tell and me and it hurts but, it was the truth. Then one day she got sick again but we didn’t know what it was, the doctor said it was a face disease but, that wasn’t the truth. The truth was that she had a brain tumor, that truth hurt even more when they told us she only had a 50/50 chance of living. She lived but, then the had to tell us the truth about her most likely to get it again because it was a floating and that she would most likely die the third time. And now you know the truth about me.

For all my reader out there I am sorry to say….that  I am a young girl named Skye.

About Me!!=D

Filed under: Uncategorized — smcauley @ 11:18 am

My name is Skye and I am twelve years old. I am in the 7th grade. I am in Mr.Fisher class(7/8)and we are from the frontier school division, in the Joseph H. Kerr school from Snow Lake.

I like and do many things just as lots of you guys do too. Some of the things I like to do are sports. Sports are my favorite especially Volley-ball. In-fact I have gotten a certificate for being the best setter on the team. In the summer, since there is a beach that you can walk to here because our town is so small, most of my friends go there mostly everyday after the ice melts and it is nice.

Gamma Knife Brain Surgery On My mom!!:O

Filed under: Uncategorized — smcauley @ 8:18 am

Writing In a couple of weeks my mom has to go back to Winnipeg. I don’t know for how long or even if i am going to she is for sure going. The reason why she is going is to do a surgery called Gamma knife brain surgery. About two weeks ago when I went to Winnipeg, the doctors said that she couldn’t get the surgery that week that we were there because the other Sergent wasn’t there so, and they need two people to do the surgery. The doctor also said that her brain tumor shrunk 38% and that if we went home and waited like a couple weeks for this guy to come back that the brain tumor would shrink more and then the surgery wouldn’t take as long. My mom said she was also scared because when the do the surgery they have to put a box on her head to keep it stable. Te reason why she s scared of that is because they have to screw it through her skin in the back lower head and in the front upper head. Then they have to put her in the machine to do the surgery. When she is in the machine it isn’t like she is stuck in there for hours but she can listen t music and she can stop the surgery to go bathroom and eat or take a brake. I think the surgery looks cool, if only they don’t have to stick the screws through the skin in her head. She’ll be alright because the doc said it doesn’t hurt because they freeze her head first. So if anyone wants to give my mom a message comment me and I will give it to her.

What Do Teenagers Want To Know Before They Move Out?:0

Filed under: Uncategorized — smcauley @ 8:25 pm

kmklmdflnj.jpg      I as a teenager, before I move out  I want to learn to drive in cities since that’s were I will probably be going to school. I also need to know how to do my own taxes and income taxes because I just don’t want to look stupid sitting there not knowing how to do them. I also want to know how to shop proper. When I say shop proper I mean knowing whats the proper price to buy something at. I think i that would help in life because it would probably save a lot of money if you knew that you shouldn’t buy a $2 tomato. I also would like to learn how to use a washing machine, I just think they are way to confusing for me. The last thing that I would like to know before I leave home is to know if you have enough money to pay the bills and rent, also to know what your house is going to like, what kind of job your going to have, what kind of school are you going to. I think all that kind of stuff is good to know before leaving home.

What is the most important thing a parent can do for a teenager?

Filed under: Uncategorized — smcauley @ 7:59 pm

kjlk.jpgI think that the most important thing that a parent can do for a teen is to trust them. Trust is one of most important things because trust leads to freedom. If parents don’t have trust in there teenagers obviously they wouldn’t let them go to a party because they would have trust in them. When parents don’t have trust in their kid the kid ends up being to needy because his or hers parents didn’t trust them to use a knife, so the parents cut his or her food for them. Trust is good to give a teenager become trustworthy.

I also think that giving a teenager discipline can also be good because to much freedom or trust isn’t good ether. As a teenager myself i think discipline is a good thing. I think discipline is what makes teenagers learn right from wrong.

TED Talks Learning:(

Filed under: Uncategorized — smcauley @ 7:21 pm

oijuyoiuoij.jpg     When we did TED talks I learned allot about racism. I learned allot about the consequences, as if you were the one doing it. When i started doing this topic i knew nothing about, when i ended it it felt like i knew everything on it. Although you cant be an expert at knowing everything of one topic. I also learned what is happening about because of it, some of those things are issues of housing because people don’t want to rent out their house to a person that is a different race. I also learnt that half of the stuff that tries to stop racism isn’t working because it is still a big issue. People think being racist is funny but, i learnt that it is not in a hard way. I also looked into this story about a girl that had lit her self on fire to protest against racism.                                                                                                                                                                                   woman_afire1.jpgend_racism_thru_unity.jpg

TED Talks Research

Filed under: Uncategorized — smcauley @ 6:50 pm

klkrfjtlkj.jpg      For my TED talks project the research was based on racism. I used some of Technoroity that didn’t help all to much. I got some of my notes from books which is as good as the Internet. When I did my research i had emailed some guys from the Manitoba Human Rights and the Canadian Human Rights commisions. I asked what would the person that did something racist if would there be charges or jail time? They didn’t email me back. For most of the research that i did was mostly on the Internet and some books. I found the books on Racism were much more detailed then the Internet. The books were one of my helpful resources.

Whats the differtent? Whats The Same?- Culture

Filed under: Uncategorized — smcauley @ 6:44 pm

jfdnghin1.jpgI  think that the cultures that our class itself wrote about were all the same because in Snow Lake we are all from different places but, we know each other. Some people even said that even as country we all do most of the same traditions. Some of our class talk about, most of our traditions involve Halloween or celebrating Christmas. Lot’s of people were also talking lots about food and clothes. My class was also in some ways, not many, the same as L.A. Some of the other L.Aclass also talked about having traditions as their own country(their real country). One of the the main things that were talked about between their class and ours was clothing and food.

kjofimhoi.jpg  Our class by its self had some differences according to their own culture. The main differences between both classes were the places were the people came from. Some of the L.Ablogs said that they actually do, do most of what their culture expects them to do. We don’t really do the same things as them because were we come from just about everyone does the same things but, some people still might have there ukraina Christmas and do the normal Christmas to most of the people here. There is a girl in my class that celebrates both of those Christmas’s.
